Features

The Centaurus Racing Team presents it Thireus , designed for participation in the international Formula Student competitions.

Frame & Suspension

  • Thireus is based on tubular spaceframe made of high-strength steel, designed with an emphasis on torsional rigidity and low weight. The suspension system consists of double wishbones front and back, with adjustable coilovers which allow customization according to the requirements of the match

Engine & Transmission

  • The car is equipped with a single-cylinder internal combustion engine, modified for racing use according to the regulations of Formula StudentThe engine is combined with fuel injection and control system developed by the team, aiming for efficiency and responsiveness

Aerodynamics

  • Thireus features complete aerodynamic package, consisting of a front wing, undertray, diffuser and rear wing. All elements have been designed based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis, optimizing downforce generation and drag reduction.

Brakes & Wheels

  • The braking system includes four-piston calipers with ventilated discs, providing powerful and reliable deceleration. The wheels are light alloy, while the racing slick tires offer the necessary grip for the demanding conditions of competitions.

Electronics & Telemetry

The Thireus electronic system includes makeshift ECU unit, control panel with LCD display on the handlebar and telemetry system which collects real-time data such as temperatures, engine speeds, pressures and performance. This data is used by the team to analyze and optimize performance.
