The Centaurus Racing Team, presents Nessus. Nessus was designed to compete in international competitions, such as the Formula Student.

Frame & Weight Minimization

  • The press box spatial network (spaceframe) has undergone extensive optimization through FEA, leading to a significant weight reduction without loss in torsional rigidity. Many vehicle components were manufactured in-house by composite materials or with CNC techniques, offering precision, strength and lightness.

Engine & Intake System

  •  Uses a single cylinder 4-stroke engine (according to the regulations of Formula Student), fully modified and redesigned at the import, export and mapping levelThe air intake system was designed through CFD, ensuring ideal flow and performance across the entire rev range.

Transmission & Suspension

  • The gearbox and differential (LSD) have been positioned in a configuration that favours a low centre of gravity and agility. The suspension system (double wishbone on all wheels) is accompanied by fully adjustable coilovers, while the geometry setup is designed to offer predictable behavior and racing stability under load.

Aerodynamic Performance

  • It brings advanced aerodynamic package, inclusive front and rear wing, side pods, floor (undertray) και διαχύτη (diffuser)All have been designed and verified with CFD analysis, yielding a significant increase in downforce without excessive drag.

Electronics & Telemetry

  • Equipped with advanced electronic control system, Nessus features an in-house developed ECU, a custom instrument cluster and data collection system data collection system
