When;| The Formula Student competition began in 1981 in the Texas area and in 1982 it expanded with the participation of a university in Mexico.

What preparation is required; | The university team that decides to participate in a Formula Student competition will have to design and build a fully functional formula car from scratch. However, the preparation does not stop with the completion of the car! The team must ensure the best possible performance in the dynamic events while at the same time its members must be adequately prepared for the static events of the competition!

How is the Formula Student score calculated; | All teams are scored based on their participation in the statically and the dynamically events of the competition and the maximum possible score for each team is 1000 points.
