We are the Centaurus Racing Team, a group of students from the University of Thessaly that since 2009 has aimed to study, design and build fully functional Formula single-seaters, capable of participating in the world's largest student engineering competition, the Formula Student.Our team has participated in numerous competitions, most recently those of Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic with the first being one of the most demanding competitions in Europe, achieving significant distinctions.Regarding this year's racing season, starting in Austria, in Red Bull Ring , Centaurus Racing won the 3rd place in the static competition of mechanical design 2nd place in the costing of the car and 3rd place in the dynamic Endurance event, where he recorded the third best time on a 22 kilometer track as well as the 3rd place in the efficiency of the single-seater (Efficiency). The above distinctions were the ones that contributed to the acquisition of the 4th place in the overall ranking of the competition! In Hungary, in ZalaZone, received the 1st place in the static competition of mechanical design, the 1st place in the costing of the car, the 2nd place in the Business Plan event and 2nd place in the dynamic Autocross event. The above contributed to the team winning the 1st place in the general classification of the static events of the competition as well as the 3rd place in the overall ranking. Finally, he took part in the Autodrom Most, in the Czech Republic. Despite the demands of the competition, Centaurus Racing managed to compete with the best teams in the world and take five places. The team received the 1st place in the static competition of mechanical design and 2nd place in the costing of the car. At the same time, he conquered the 3rd place in the dynamic endurance race with the best time in the CV category as well as the 2nd place in the performance of the car. Finally, the above distinctions contributed to the acquisition of the 3rd place in the general ranking.
